Redemptoris Mater (Latin: Mother of the Redeemer) is the name for certain Roman Catholic seminaries which operate under the auspices of the Neocatechumenal Way. The first Redemptoris Mater Seminary was erected in Rome in 1987, under the inspiration of St. John Paul II. The Redemptoris Mater Seminary of Vancouver was opened in 2013. Archbishop Miller established the seminary in the vision of the missionary dimension of the Archdiocese.
