On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Kiko, Ascension, and Fr. Mario have assigned the new seminarians to our seminary. We are very grateful for the work the Lord is doing in our midst. The seminarians' convivence has been a wonderful moment of grace for all of us.

At the beginning of September, during the convivence of seminarians held in Porto San Giorgio, Italy, 3 new seminarians were sent to the Redemptoris Mater Seminary of Vancouver. The retreat has been a life-changing experience for many young men who gave their availability to be sent anywhere in the world.

Ismael Jimenez

I'm 30 years old, and I was born in Toronto, Ontario. I've been walking in the Neocatechumenal Way for 18 years, and I have been discerning with the Vocational Center of Toronto for 2 years, alongside doing a year of discernment in the Yukon. After working for many years in the culinary and construction industries, I've had this desire to see what the Lord has planned for me in my life and decided to enter into this time of discernment in the Seminary of Vancouver.

I'm 20 years old, and I'm originally from Venezuela, where I grew up. I'm the second of six siblings. Five years ago, I joined the Neocatechumenal Way in Toronto, at St Mary of the Angels parish. The Lord has called me to the priesthood after attending celebrations with my community and journeying with them. After two years of vocational discernment, I decided to answer the Lord's call.

Jose Joachin Reinoso

My name is Jose Joaquin Reinoso. I am 18 years old and am a local from Vancouver, British Columbia. I grew up Catholic and have been walking in the Neocatechumenal Way with my community for 5 years. I also spent one year in the vocational centre discerning my vocation. I enjoy listening to music and playing acoustic and electric guitar, as well as playing soccer and basketball. Before entering post-secondary, I decided to follow God's call to the seminary.
